La hija de Paul Walker resuelve un juicio por muerte injusta contra Porsche

Meadow Walker, hija de la estrella de la franquicia Fast & Furious Paul Walker, ha resuelto la demanda contra Porsche en relación con la muerte de su padre en 2013, según The Blast.

Los documentos obtenidos por The Blast indican que Meadow Walker llegó a un acuerdo con la automotriz el 16 de octubre, y que también se resolvió una demanda por separado del padre de Paul Walker contra Porsche. 

Los detalles de ambos asentamientos permanecen sin revelar.

Meadow Walker recibió $ 10.1 millones en un acuerdo por separado el año pasado con el patrimonio de Roger Rhodas, el conductor del Carrera GT involucrado en el accidente que condujo a la muerte de Paul Walker.

La demanda por homicidio culposo contra Porsche fue presentada por Meadow Walker en 2015, alegando que el Carrera GT en el que Paul Walker estaba cuando murió era conocido por "problemas de inestabilidad" y que Walker inicialmente sobrevivió al accidente pero quedó atrapado dentro del vehículo incendiado cerca de su asiento cinturón. 

Un juez determinó que Porsche no tuvo ninguna culpa en el accidente a principios del año pasado.

Tanto Meadow Walker como Porsche han solicitado oficialmente que se retire la demanda por homicidio culposo.
Meadow Walker, the daughter of Fast & Furious franchise star Paul Walker, has settled the lawsuit against Porsche concerning her father’s death in 2013, according to The Blast.

Documents obtained by The Blast indicate Meadow Walker settled with the automaker on Oct. 16, and that a separate lawsuit from Paul Walker’s father against Porsche had also been settled. The details of both settlements remain undisclosed.

Meadow Walker received $10.1 million in a separate settlement last year with the estate of Roger Rhodas, the driver of the Carrera GT involved in the crash that led to Paul Walker’s death.

The wrongful death suit against Porsche was filed by Meadow Walker back in 2015, claiming the Carrera GT Paul Walker was in when he died was known for “instability issues” and that Walker initially survived the crash but was trapped inside the burning vehicle by his seat belt. A judge determined Porsche was at no fault in the crash earlier last year. 

Both Meadow Walker and Porsche have officially requested the wrongful death suit be dropped.
